Monster Hunter Stories Demo Mini-Review

Hey guys,
It’s been a while and I’m sorry for not writing much, dealing with different stuff but I’m here today to talk about a game that I came across which is Monster Hunter Stories as in its demo by the way.
I was excited to know that the demo is out for gamers to have a taste of what the game will be like and what the game can offer to gamers. This is just a mini-review of the demo in hoping that you guys will like it and hopefully will be useful to you in case you want to buy the game.

Plot of the game

In the game, one is to become a Legendary Rider, to bond with beasts, and take to the skies for a breathtaking journey, filled with friendship, mystery and plenty of turn-based battles.

Storyline

When a sleepy settlement of Hakum Village is attacked by a terrifying beast, it’s down to you to follow the footstep of the Legendary Rider Redan and discover the truth behind a corrupting dark force known as the Black Blight.

Overview/Impression

Monster Hunter Series has always captured the world by a storm with the main role of hunting/slaying monsters just to get by but now the gaming company Capcom has brought something new to our delicious gaming food menu which is Monster Hunter Stories. Monster Hunter Stories has shown me that it’s just only hunting monsters but to raise and nurture one to be their partners from when they’re born from their eyes (after you steal one, take about being a thief lol).
Also they can do both main and side-quest to get more resources and funds for themselves. This game is one best way to end a summer break and it’s so true.
The game is another open-world game that you can explores places like previously released games such as Pokémon Sun/Moon, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Ever Oasis, and Monster Hunter Generations etc.
Monster Hunter Stories offers similar features as other Monster Hunter Games but with few differences to be exact for which I will briefly list out for you.
Like Pokémon Sun/Moon and Maybe Ever Oasis, you can create your character either a Male or Female. The game is adaption of the Anime itself plus I bet the game is awesome just like the storyline of the game cause I haven’t watched it yet (but will be planning to watch it).

Similarities

There are certain similarities between Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Generations for which I would like to point out. There may not be much of it.
• The movement of the character are the same as the other MH series.
• The way one gathers resources on the field.
• How they get back to the village (but you have to progress more into the game to unlock that feature).

Differences

• The fighting is mainly turn-based than before where one can fight monsters freely.
• One can go into the Monster’s den to take an egg from the nest.
• The game is an adaption to the Anime.
• You can create your character unlike before where you have to choose classes.
• You can save your progress from your character’s home

Well above are the similarities and differences between Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Generations for which I pointed out for you but not sure if I’m correct but will love to hear more from you guys.

Reward of the Demo

According to the game, if you have a save data for the demo, you can get a free Rider’s outfit for Navirou (cause he really needs one) if you purchase the full game! Your saved data will also carry across to the full game ** so you can continue adventure when Monster Hunter Stories is released on 8th of September, 2017 (9th of September will be released in Australia and New Zealand)

So this is the end of the mini-review for which I hope it was useful for you guys, so I can say that Capcom did a marvelous job to carefully develop the game and bring it to us as the best way to end the summer break.
Hopefully I’ll get the game when it is released to Nintendo 3DS systems worldwide.

Cheers,
From your friendly gamer,
Mahddyboy
