Gameplay

Idea Factory brought another game into the Neptunia series which still has the same mechanics as the previous games such as battle mechanics, gameplay and character development which still has the cute design and elements into the game.

This time is quite different from the previous instalment that has to do with war between console and mobile gaming but here is related to running a game company creating video games.

After going through the first few hours, you’ll control Neptune and other characters which still has the similar RPG open world mechanics that occurs in various installments.

I noticed that you could create games within the game based on genre, creators and so on.

The combat style is real-time RPG battle which gives space for movement and strategy with buttons set up and different controls to which skill is available to tigger at the time. During each battle, players can switch between party members as to try out which move set is well effective during battle or to give a better chance as to survive a battle.

I fancy that the game is somewhat a reflection of how game companies work and also how game publishers work as well to bring out video games out to the public.

The game is back with the function of switching between characters during battle which is fun and gives that familiar gameplay especially when one want to create combos and also be on a lookout for which button appears on which character to create such combo.

To be honest, it feels quite similar to previous games that I have played previously but with map exploration which you’ll select a particular map area that has missions either main or side quests to follow through to engage such area.

Graphics

The game visual is back with its lovely, cute and wonderful graphics done by both Idea Factory and Compile Heart who’ve done wonderful work with cute games in the past and they’re great with beautiful polished visuals for both characters and environment with lovely textures and thumbs up to a job well-done. This feels like a default work style for each Neptune game so far I’ve played previously in the past. I can say that they pretty much have it going well for them since it’s a gaming series and it works nicely.

Audio

The voice-acting is spoken in Japanese but with English subtitle that makes easy to understand and also to learn the language at the same time.
i enjoy the soundtrack being played in the background as the action is going on and also I get psyched up whenever the song is playing (yeah I’m a fan of rock but not heavy-metal).

Verdict
